Ron Artest on Jimmy Kemmel Live – Must Watch for All Laker Fans
Ron is AWESOME.
Ron is AWESOME.
Great video on cable wire management.
SportsbyBrooks picked up my youtube post. In typical SUC fashion, no credit was given.
I’m glad those punks got smoked.
The San Diego Reader has an article on the CDBA College Races.
Here are some “interesting” points on dragon boating:
Row one is the strokers. They set the tone, they set the pace. They also have the hardest job: breaking dead water….
And then rows eight, nine, and ten are the back half. They’re like the legs of the boat. They have to bear down deep, find dead water, and push. If they don’t, they’re just pulling the water that’s already running.
I’ll just say that’s a very interesting take.
The CDBA College Dragon Boat Races were held this past weekend up in No Cal.
Mixed A Results:
1. UCSD 1 (2:15.63)
2. UCLA Blue (2:15.93)
3. DRD 1 (2:16.96)
I couldn’t ask for a better 1, 2 finish with my alma mater finishing first and UCLA finishing second. UCLA & UCSD swapped places in the Men’s Championship:
1. UCLA (2:17.19)
2. UCSD (2:19.01)
3. CAL (2:20.05)
The rest of the results can be found here.
Here’s video of the Mixed A-Final:
Recently, I was talking to my brother about Windows 7 and the difference between the various versions.
He told me about a time he was in a Louisiana WalMart during the time he was attending LSU. There were 2 hillbillies (one White and one Asian) staring at the various versions of Windows XP through a display case.
White Hillbilly: “What’s the difference between XP Home and Professional?”
Asian Hillbilly: (pointing at the XP Home version) “That one over there, has some sheeeeet.”
Asian Hillbilly: (pointing at the XP Professional version) “That one over there, has the GOOOD SHEEEEET.”
Now I need him to explain to me the difference between Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate.
UPDATE to my rant below: 2 Charter guys came over yesterday. Cool guys, we talked about the Lakers, Dodgers, how bad the Raiders suck and watched a bit of SportsCenter. The cable is now fixed. I’ve never been so happy to see a soccer match on my TV screen.
Midas can now watch the Lakers in HD in peace.
Turns out in Victorville, someone killed a Charter cable guy with a freaking hammer.
I talked to the Charter guys about that and it seems, although this is one of the first times, if not the first time, a Charter cable guy was killed on the job, attacks on them have happened in the past. A cable guy was attacked in a customer’s home and the customer even went out to the van and started beating down the van. They also told me about another time where an obese lady was so mad she wouldn’t let a cable guy leave her house. The cable guy distracted her and he high-tailed it out of her house.
Craziness.
