Keyboard for the iPhone

September 17, 2009

Mobile Mechatronics out of Toronto developed a keyboard for the iPhone.

The keys will be made of hard plastic and will be available in November for $30 plus $5 for shipping.

They are taking pre-orders.  I can’t wait to try it out!

UPDATE: I found a video of the keyboard in action.  Not sure I like this as it covers up a lot of the screen.  Also, I use the Mophie Juice Pack Air as my case/extra battery.  I’d have to remove the Juice Pack from the iPhone before I could connect a keyboard.  I’m WAY too lazy for that.

I’m sure we’ll see a better solution soon.  I’d like to see a bigger and foldable/collapsible keyboard that connects via bluetooth.

Nice idea but I think it’s going to be too clunky looking for most people that buy an iPhone.
