Slingbox Can Now Stream to iPhone Over 3G!

February 4, 2010

Most of you know I’m an Apple fan boy.  I think the iPhone is a truly revolutionizing piece of technology and I cannot wait for the arrival of the iPad.

I also love my Slingbox (a device that allows you to watch your home’s TV anywhere you have access to a computer with internet access).  However, I’ve been holding off on the Slingbox app for the iPhone because up to now, AT&T has refused to allow Slingbox to stream over its 3G network (thus, Slingbox would only work when you were connected to a wifi network).

Today, that has changed.  The iPhone Blog is reporting that AT&T is now allowing Slingbox to stream over the 3G network.  Now, the $30 Slingbox app has become a bit more appealing…

That being said, I’m very interested to see what the guys at Slingbox have in store for the iPad…
